Samawat ("the app") is a free, account-free Islamic prayer companion published by TSN Tech & Strategy Network LLC. This policy explains exactly what data the app does and does not handle.
The optional Khatam feature lets you join or create a shared group to complete the Quran together with others. This is collaborative by nature, so the data needed to share with your group is stored on our backend (Supabase). This only happens if you choose to use Khatam Groups.
When you use Khatam Groups, the following is stored on the server:

| An anonymous user ID | Generated automatically. It is random and not linked to your name, email, phone, or Apple ID. No signup is involved. |
| A display name you type | So group members can see who claimed which juz. |
| Group and juz progress | The group's name and which parts (juz) each member has claimed or completed. |
We do not collect your real name, email, phone number, location, contacts, or device identifiers for advertising. The anonymous ID exists only to make the group feature work and is not used to track you or build a profile.
If you never use Khatam Groups, no data leaves your device.
If you allow location access, it is used on your device to calculate accurate prayer times and the Qibla direction. Your location is not transmitted to us or any third party. You can instead set a city manually in Settings and skip location access entirely.
The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Khatam feature stores only an anonymous ID and a display name of your choosing.
Personal worship data lives only on your device — deleting the app removes it. For Khatam group data stored on our server, contact us at the email below to request deletion of an anonymous ID and its associated group entries.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
